Annual figures for NextPharma Logistics for 2021

The strong-selling year 2020 was exceeded again by 7.2%

During a management meeting last week, a summary of the 2021 financial year was drawn - and this was again very good.

The strong-selling year 2020 was exceeded again by 7.2%. This is particularly pleasing since the focus in the past year was primarily on large internal projects.

“My personal highlight was the introduction of the reusable box! We currently ship veterinary medicinal products in reusable plastic boxes, which are picked up, cleaned and send again with the next delivery. An extremely promising and sustainable concept!” Christian Pieper, Managing Director (COO)

Other internal projects, which were also completed in 2021, will also continue to have a positive impact on sales in the current year.

In general, it can be said that the Covid19 pandemic has primarily had an impact on stock levels, because a lot of safety stock has been built up here. In the last year alone, the average inventory grew from almost 52 million packs to over 80 million packs. Since such a development was already becoming apparent in 2020, we were able to provide our customers with sufficient storage capacity at an early stage through preventive measures, such as several site expansions and an upcoming new construction in Holzwickede.

Persistent inflation and rising commodity prices will present us with particular challenges this year – but we will solve these together with our partners.
